I figured from the title of this one that there were other survivors - not just Claudia, Dorian and the refugees at the airport - and yep, that's definitely the case.
Of course, the presence of other groups had me thinking of the film 28 Days Later, as in a post-apocalyptic world, survival can be more important to some than loyalty, kindness or even planning for the future. No, I don't do spoilers, so you'll have to read this one yourself to find out just how friendly the others are. Let's just say that the creepy vibe I had with Kane is definitely a result of Ms Gelsheimer's skill at writing this book.
I think I recognised an interesting reference in here, too - that adventure book Claudia was reading sounded mightily familiar...
Now I can't wait for Episode 4! Keep it coming!
